Is it painful?
IPL sensation varies by person and intensity level. Most users describe it as a mild warmth or a brief snap at higher settings. The Velou Glow has 5 intensity levels so you can start low and build up gradually. We recommend starting on level 1 for your first session.
How long before I see results?
Based on clinical IPL research, most users notice visible thinning within the first 2 weeks of consistent use. By week 6, you will typically see significant reduction in hair density. What skin tones does it work on?
The Velou Glow is safe and effective for Fitzpatrick skin types I through V (fair to medium-dark). It works best on dark hair against lighter skin. It is not suitable for very dark skin (Fitzpatrick VI) or very light, blonde, white, or grey hair. The built-in skin sensor detects your tone and will not flash outside the safe range.
Can I use it on my face?
The Velou Glow is designed for body use. It is safe to use on the upper lip area, but is not recommended for use around the eyes or on the broader face. Always wear the included protective goggles during sessions.
How do I use it?
Shave the area to be treated. Ensure skin is clean and dry. Select your intensity level (start at 1). Place the device flat against your skin and press the flash button. Move to an adjacent area and repeat. A full body session takes under 8 minutes. Always read the included user manual before first use.
Is the device cordless?
No — the Velou Glow is powered via an included cord with a detachable connector. The cord detaches for compact storage and the device folds flat for easy packing.

How does the Smooth Eraser work?
The Velou Smooth Eraser uses a nano-crystalline surface to break the hair shaft at skin level with small circular motions. At the same time, the motion exfoliates dead skin cells — leaving skin noticeably softer than shaving alone. It works physically, with no light, no chemicals, and no blades.
Is it painful?
No — when used correctly on completely dry skin with small circular motions, the Smooth Eraser is painless. Some users feel a mild buffing sensation similar to an exfoliating scrub. If you experience discomfort, reduce pressure.
Does it work on all hair colours and skin tones?
Yes — unlike IPL or laser devices, the Smooth Eraser works on all hair colours and all skin tones. There are no restrictions based on skin or hair colour.
Do I need to use it on wet or dry skin?
Completely dry skin only. Using the Smooth Eraser on wet skin significantly reduces its effectiveness. Ensure the area is clean and fully dry before each use.
Can I use it on my face?
It is not recommended for use on the face. It is designed for body areas — legs, arms, underarms, back, and bikini line.
How long does one eraser last?

Is the hair removal permanent?
No — the Smooth Eraser removes hair at the surface level. Regrowth returns within a few days to a week. For longer-lasting reduction, pair with the Velou Glow IPL device, which targets the hair follicle at the root.
How do I care for it?
Rinse under warm water after each use and allow to air dry completely before storing. Do not store while damp. Replace when the crystalline surface shows visible wear.
Velou Lumé™ LED Light Therapy Mask
Does LED light therapy actually work?
LED therapy has decades of published clinical research in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Different wavelengths target specific skin concerns: red (630nm) may help support collagen production, blue (415nm) may help reduce acne-causing bacteria, green (520nm) may help reduce the appearance of pigmentation. Results are cumulative and build with consistent sessions. Individual results vary.
How often should I use it?
Daily for the first 4–6 weeks for best initial results, then 3–4 times per week for maintenance. Each session is exactly 10 minutes — the device auto-shuts off when your time is up.
Which mode should I start with?
Red for anti-aging and firmness concerns. Blue if acne or breakouts are your main concern. Many users rotate: red 4 days, blue 2 days, green 1 day. Prioritise the mode targeting your primary concern most consistently for the first 4 weeks.
Should I apply serums before or after?
Start each session with completely clean, product-free skin — remove all makeup and skincare. After your 10 minutes, apply your serums and moisturiser.
Is it safe for all skin tones?
Yes — LED therapy is non-thermal and suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. There are no restrictions based on skin colour, unlike IPL or laser treatments.
Can I pair it with the Velou Glow IPL?
Yes, but use them on separate days. After an IPL session your skin needs 24 hours to recover before LED treatment. The Velou Lumé is ideal on non-IPL days — cyan and yellow modes calm treated skin, while red supports the skin’s natural renewal process between IPL sessions.
Is it safe to use every day?
Yes — LED therapy is non-invasive and non-thermal. The 40–45 mW/cm² output of the Velou Lumé is calibrated for regular home use. Discontinue use if you experience any irritation.
Do I need to wear the eye shields?
Yes. Eye shields are required for every session and are included in the box. Never operate the mask without them in place. Do not look directly at the LEDs during use.
