Who gets the best results

IPL works best on darker hair against lighter skin. It is most effective for Fitzpatrick skin types I–V. It is not suitable for very dark skin (Fitzpatrick VI) or very light, blonde, white, or grey hair. The built-in skin sensor automatically adjusts for your tone and will not activate outside the safe range.

What makes results last

Consistency is everything. Missing sessions extends your timeline. Weekly treatment for the first 8–12 weeks, followed by monthly maintenance, delivers the best long-term outcome. Shaving (not waxing) between sessions preserves the hair root the IPL needs to target.

Velou Smooth Eraser™ Crystal Hair Remover

The Smooth Eraser uses nano-crystalline exfoliation — a physical hair removal method with no chemicals, no light, and no blades. Results are immediate and visible from the first use.

What to expect

First use: Hair removed at the skin surface. Skin feels noticeably smoother than after shaving, with simultaneous exfoliation of dead skin cells.
Ongoing use: Skin texture may improve with regular use as dead skin is consistently removed alongside hair. Many users report softer, brighter skin over time.
Duration of results: 2–7 days before regrowth returns to the surface, depending on individual hair growth rate.

Best results technique

Completely dry skin is essential. Use small, firm circular motions — not straight strokes. Apply consistent but not excessive pressure. Wipe away residue with a damp cloth afterwards and follow with a moisturiser for maximum smoothness.

The Smooth Eraser is the ideal companion between IPL sessions. It removes surface hair without waxing or tweezing — which would remove the hair root and reduce IPL effectiveness. Use the Smooth Eraser on non-IPL days to stay smooth throughout your treatment programme.

Velou Lumé™ LED Light Therapy Mask

The Velou Lumé delivers 7 wavelengths of LED light therapy across 324 high-density beads at 40–45 mW/cm² — a technology used in clinical dermatology practices. The following outcomes reflect published research on LED phototherapy. Individual results vary.
